Artist's Comments

The boyfriend and I went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis on Saturday. It was an interesting expirience, and we rather lucked out and were granted beautiful wearther. Not only beautiful, but reasonably warm as well. Kind of amazing considering the fickleness of weather in the midwest durring fall. It was supposed to rain, but it was beautifully sunny nearly the whole day.

I worked with my new camera, which was an expirience. I haven't used an slr in a while (since film is so damn expensive to develope, and my A620 takes much, much better macros than my Rebel G) so it's been a trip getting into the swing of things. I've been having less issues than I thought I would and was rather relieved to find out that all of my stuff I used for my other cameras works for my XT to. Although I'm going to get a telephoto/macro asap. Probably next month (Or maybe even next paycheck.)

In anycase, we saw the Chihuly exhibit [link] as well as some local wild life. Namely a red fox was running around. I've never seen a fox that close, at least not one that wasn't behind bars. He was a very pretty fellow, and didn't seem to have any fear of humans at all...which was disconcerting. We also saw a coyote on the was to St. Louis, which was odd too. Couldn't get a picture of him though...since I couldn't very well stop on the interstate.

Today we are heading off to the Bridge Festival. I hope to hit all three places. So forgive me if I flood you with more pictures.

life is beautiful.
take pictures.

a picture says a thousand words, a word can describe a thousand pictures. I've got too many of both, probably.

Just a 18-55 and a 35-80 that I already have. I'm looking around for a macro and a telephoto. But I'm still poor so who knows.

if I were to use Canon, the 17-85 IS, 10-22 wide, 70-300 IS, and the 100 macro are on the top of my list.

although I hear the canon 18-55 is sharper and has less chromatic aberration than the 17-85 IS.
